Composite doors

Composite doors can give your home excellent curb appeal and are available in a wide range of styles and colours, finished with standard or custom-made furniture.

We use Glass Reinforced Plastic doors for great definition, lifelong performance, safety and security, and protection against all weather. The same material is used today to make the hulls of boats because it’s super-strong and has exceptional wind and water resistance.

All our doors are tested

The average rainfall in the UK is between 700mm a year in East Anglia and up to 3,000mm a year in the Scottish Highlands! So, to ensure these doors are up to the job, they are tested in a pressurized chamber to stimulate gusting winds starting at 63 miles an hour and up to 80 miles an hour – that’s stronger than a hurricane. Then they are tested further by spraying two litres of water every minute directly at the door of their test chamber.

Wind Resistance
Tested in accordance with BSEN 12211: 2000
Air Permeability
Tested in accordance with BSEN 1026: 2000
Water tightness
Tested in accordance with BSEN 1027: 2000

Our doors are BS approved and kitemarked

Whichever locking system you prefer, your door will be PAS24 and BS6375 approved and have a kitemarked cylinder lock as standard.

The hinge edge of your door has a PVC edging. Then we cut through the edging so that whichever hinge you selected sits neatly inside the edge of your door.

To make the door super-strong, the lock edge has been fitted with a full length of 4mm thick, powder-coated aluminium lock strip. Then your preferred lock sits flush inside your door.

Our doors are easy to reglaze

Making a composite door to hold the glass is easy, but what happens if the glass unit breaks down? Our unique and patented glazing cassette can be removed from the inside to allow you to change the glass and reuse the cassette. Better still, you won’t need a new door.

UPVC casement windows

UPVC casement windows are our most popular choice as they can be individually made to your choice of frame, glass, and configuration. They are manufactured by our high-quality supplier by skilled craftspeople in the UK using the highest quality, energy efficient materials, complete with a manufacturer’s warranty for peace of mind. Our customers wanted two new UPVC dormer windows to match those on the ground floor both in terms of style and colour. Not only were we able to colour match them, but we were able to finish them with a real wood ‘grain’ effect, in keeping with the house, which they were really pleased with.
